St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC can confirm that defender/midfielder Parker Maher will miss the remainder of the season due to a groin injury sustained during the game against Swope Park Rangers on August 3rd.
Parker was able to visit with team doctors yesterday and is making good progress for a return in 2017.
"Anytime you lose a player to a season-ending injury, it's always tough to deal with the finality of the situation. With Parker it's even more difficult because he has been an influential player on and off the field these past two seasons", said General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh. "We are confident that Parker will attack the necessary rehabilitation work to come back stronger than before".
Saint Louis FC would like to wish Parker a speedy recovery and are looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch next season.
