Saint Louis FC travels to Kansas City on Saturday to take on Swope Park Rangers for the second game in the four game series.

Earlier this season, Saint Louis defeated the conference rival 3-0 at home. This was a landmark game with Tshuma, Bond and Herrera all scoring their first goals with Saint Louis. These teams have a history of being aggressive with each other. There were two red cards in the most recent match-up, ending in Swope Park's Oumar Ballo getting ejected in the first half and STL FC's Chad Bond ejected in the second half.

Saturday's game will be the second match-up between the teams in franchise history, and the first time Saint Louis travels to Kansas City. The two teams will play each other a total of four times this season. The storied rivalry between these two cities is well documented and dates back to 1968 when the St. Louis Stars first met the Kansas City Spurs.

Swope Park Rangers (5-7-2) are coming off a 2-0 road win against Seattle Sounders FC 2. Both goals came in the second half, one from Tyrpak and the other from Gonzalez. SPR sits at the 10th spot on the USL Western Conference standings.

Last weekend Saint Louis FC (6-5-4) defeated Portland Timbers 2 in front of a sold out crowd. The home side earned a penalty in the 58th minute after Andy Thoma handled the ball in the box. Herrera stepped up and calmly put the ball past Timbers' keeper Justin Luthy to give STLFC the lead with what proved to be the game-winner. The goal was Herrera's ninth of the season, adding to his franchise record. Saint Louis FC remains 6th in the USL Western Conference standings.

Saint Louis FC will be without midfielder James Musa due to yellow card accumulation.

Saint Louis FC kicks off a busy home schedule this July on this Wednesday, July 6th, against the Seattle Sounders 2 in the USL match of the week with fireworks following the game.  A quick turnaround is needed as the team welcomes former US Men's National Team Coach, John Harkes, and his expansion franchise FC Cincinnati on Saturday July 9th.
