Saint Louis FC (5-4-4) will face Arizona United SC (3-5-3) in a heated conference rivalry at Arizona on Saturday, June 18 at 9:30 p.m. CT, heated because the kickoff temp is expected to be over 110 degrees.  The match will be the first time the two clubs face each other and the only time they will meet this season.

Arizona finished 10th in the conference last season and their goal keeper, Carl Woszczynski set the USL record with 130 saves. They are currently ranked below sixth place Saint Louis at the twelfth spot. 

Arizona is host to a few familiar faces. Peter Kelly appeared in nine matches for STL FC last season before signing with Arizona. Celebrities Pete Wentz from the band "Fall Out Boy" and DJ/Music Producer Diplo are minority owners for Arizona. 

Last Time Out:
Both teams are coming off impressive wins. Saint Louis defeated Tulsa Roughnecks 7-1 at home last weekend while Arizona United defeated Orange County Blues 2-0

STL FC was strong on the attack, scoring three goals in the first half.  Saint Louis native, Seth Rudolph, celebrated his first start for Saint Louis FC with a goal in the 4th minute, his first goal with Saint Louis FC. Irvin Herrera, Jamiel Hardware and punched in the other two goals for the first half.

Four more goals were piled on in the second half coming from Rudolph (2nd), Herrera (2nd), Jordan Roberts, and Vince Ciccerelli. Tulsa found a goal in the 85th minute, preventing a STL FC shut out.

Arizona United SC beat Orange County Blues 2-0 in their first home game victory of the season. Chris Cortez's goal came late in the first half. After a bad Blues turnover in the middle of the field, midfielder Luke Rooney sent a centering pass into the middle of the box toward a charging Cortez. The forward met the ball and headed the cross into the back of the net. Forward Sam Garza put the game away in stoppage time with his second of the season to make it 2-0.
