St. Louis, MO – Saint Louis FC has announced the loan of forward Jose Angulo to Oklahoma City Energy FC with forward Daniel Jackson joining Saint Louis FC in a permanent deal for the remainder of the 2017 season.
Jackson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and played at Cumberland University for two years before transferring to Coker College for the 2012-2013 season. While in college, he made 19 appearances for the Kalamazoo Outrage in the USL PDL before joining FC JAX Destroyers in 2012 where he made 14 appearances. Jackson then played for the D.C. United U-23 squad where he made eight appearances and scored eight goals during the 2013 season. He would be selected 70th overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft by Real Salt Lake but signed with the Carolina RailHawks where he made 16 appearances and scored two goals during the 2014 season. Jackson joined Oklahoma City Energy FC in 2016 but suffered a season-ending injury at the beginning of the campaign to limit him to two appearances that season.
“Daniel is a different type of player that should fit into our system,” said Preki, Head Coach of STLFC. “We are looking to get him settled and bring him on to make an impact for the remainder of the season.”
